Founded primarily as a trading company in 1976, Rochester Cheese is an established supplier providing custom cheese solutions for many diverse customers. The staff in Rochester excels at meeting customer needs through personal service. The Rochester office houses customer service and distribution.

Rochester Cheese expanded operations in 1985 with the purchase of our Spring Valley, Minnesota, manufacturing plant. This plant produces quality cheese ingredients for the food industry. The hard-working men and women of the Spring Valley plant contribute greatly to the success and satisfaction of our customers.

In 1992, we expanded our technical expertise by creating a food ingredient division – International Ingredient Systems – that can translate cheese into a functional, high-quality, cheese-based product formulated for almost any application at a competitive price. This team works with customers to find custom solutions through technical expertise and dedicated customer service. International Ingredient Systems is located in Springfield, Missouri.

Rochester Cheese is now a wholly owned subsidiary of nationally known and recognized Swiss Valley Farms, a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Davenport, Iowa. To view our mission statement, click here.
